This event is now confirmed.

Intention is to meet at the Southwick Brewhouse at 1100 where we will be given a tour of the premises before retiring to the newly renovated Golden Lion next door fo Sunady Lunch.

Both venues have been provisionally booked for 12 people but this can be increased if demand is sufficient.  If you wish to attend please append your names to this thread on our forum so that numbers can be accounted for.

Description

The Southwick Brewhouse is a small local brewery situated in the back yard of the Golden Lion Pub in Southwick.  The Golden Lion Pub has been in existence since the 17th century and has recently undergone a massive restoration.  Both the pub and brewery are steeped in history.  The pub was used by Generals Eisenhower and Montgomery as a watering hole during the planning of the D-Day landings in 1944.   The brewerry conduct short tours for visitors.  For further details visit the website.
