Following on from the success of the MGF Register's 2009 charity fund raisng efforts a page on the JustGiving website has been set up for donations to the nominated charity for 2010 - the RNLI.
In 2009 the Register raised £1027.60 and with a Gift Aid supplement of £105.77 were able to donate a grand total of £1133.37 to the Stoke Mandeville Spinal Foundation. This was well in excess of expectations was probably the largest amount of money raised in a single year since the Register started raising funds for charity in 2006.
To build on this success the target for 2010 has been set at £1000 with the first charity event - The Arctic Circle Run - expected to make a significant contribution towards the target. There will be further events throughout the year in support of the fund raising effort including the Annual Charity Run which this year is being hosted by the Essex Roadsters. Further details of this event will be published in due course.
To assist with the fund raising effort a new menu has been created on this website with a link to the MGF Register JustGiving page. A link to the RNLI website has also been included for further information about this very worthwhile cause.
